Highmast Poles
Product

Highmast Poles are large-diameter, multi-section steel masts engineered to illuminate vast open areas from a single elevated point — eliminating the need for multiple lower poles and reducing clutter across the lit zone. Each mast is fabricated from thick-walled steel plate, rolled and welded into flanged sections that stack to the required height with precision-machined joints ensuring structural continuity and alignment.

The mast head carries a ring-type luminaire frame — commonly called a lantern carriage or lighting ring — which holds an array of high-wattage floodlights directed outward and downward at calculated angles to achieve uniform illumination across a wide radius. The carriage is designed to be fully lowerable by winch, bringing all lamps to ground level for safe routine maintenance without scaffolding, aerial platforms, or pole climbing.

Each mast is supplied with a heavy-duty base flange, anchor bolt cage, and electrical junction box at the base for clean cable termination. Internal cable runs pass through pre-welded conduit guides from base to head, keeping conductors protected from the elements and securely held throughout the full mast height.

Finished with hot-dip galvanizing inside and out, highmast poles deliver outstanding long-term corrosion resistance in coastal, industrial, and high-humidity environments. Aviation warning lights and obstacle lighting provisions are fitted as standard on taller installations, and all masts conform to relevant IS structural and wind loading specifications.

Industries & Applications

Where Highmast Poles
Reach New Heights

Highway Interchanges
Single highmast poles replace clusters of standard poles at complex highway junctions and flyover interchanges, providing uniform, glare-reduced illumination across all merge and diverge lanes.
Ports & Shipyards
Galvanized highmasts withstand salt-laden marine atmospheres while illuminating container yards, quay aprons, ship-to-shore crane lanes, and vessel berthing areas around the clock.
Airports & Airfields
Illuminate aircraft aprons, cargo handling areas, remote parking bays, and perimeter roads at civil and military airfields with aviation-compliant obstacle lighting provisions.
Industrial Complexes
Installed across refineries, steel plants, chemical facilities, and large manufacturing yards to provide continuous, high-intensity illumination for safe round-the-clock operations.
Open-Cast Mines
Wide-radius coverage from elevated masts lights expansive open-pit mining benches, haul roads, and ore processing areas to enable safe night-shift extraction operations.
Logistics & Container Yards
Fewer mast positions light larger yard footprints in freight terminals, inland container depots, and cross-dock facilities — reducing civil costs and improving open sightlines for crane operators.
Toll Plazas & Border Posts
Illuminate multi-lane toll collection booths, border crossing checkpoints, and weigh stations with broad, shadow-free coverage to support vehicle inspection and revenue collection.
Sports & Recreation Areas
Tall highmasts provide wide-area floodlighting for outdoor sports grounds, golf driving ranges, cricket grounds, and large public parks requiring broad, even light spread.
