Fabrication
The tubular sections are cut, swaged and fitted with plates and brackets before any coating.
Surface Preparation
Degreasing, acid pickling and fluxing remove oil, scale and rust so the zinc bonds to clean steel.
Zinc Bath
The pole is dipped in molten zinc, which forms a bonded coating on every surface, inside and out.
Inspection and Dispatch
Coating, straightness and finish are checked before the poles are dispatched to site.

What is a GI steel tubular pole?
It is a swaged steel tubular pole that has been hot-dip galvanized: dipped in molten zinc so a zinc coating bonds to the steel inside and out. The coating protects the pole from rust for far longer than paint alone.
Why choose a GI pole over an MS pole?
A GI pole costs more at the start but needs little or no maintenance for many years, while a painted MS pole needs periodic repainting. For coastal, humid or industrial sites, and for public infrastructure that must last, GI is usually the better value over the life of the pole.
Does a galvanized pole need painting?
No. The zinc coating protects the steel on its own. Where a colour is wanted, GI poles can also be painted or powder coated over the galvanizing for extra protection and appearance.
